Metal Container Guidelines
1. This container is to be used for METAL ONLY with a minimum of 4000 pounds to justify the expense of delivery and pick up at your location.
2. Deductions will apply by pound or % if the following non-acceptable items are found within the contents. There may be a labor charge deducted from the total for separation of such items if deem excessive.
3. Tin, fence wire, and metal appliances are accepted but, have lesser value than other ferrous items. Estimation of such products within the container will be based on % and paid at a lesser price. Note: dishwashers are not accepted.
4. Freon containing items such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc. must be properly evacuated to be compliant with US Law. If a unit was evacuated prior, the CFC License number of the licensed person that completed the work must be posted on the outer side of the unit. If there is no license number visible, there will be a $25 charge per unit for legal evacuation. (Per federal law, illegal venting carries a $10,000 fine per item)
5. 30 days is the maximum time a container can be used. The container can remain on-site for an additional 30 days with a charge of $100 per 30 day. Please notify Myers Iron Salvage prior to 30 days or sooner to avoid an additional charge. (Boxes WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY BE PICKED UP. You must call to have box pick up.)
6. IRON LOADED CANNOT BE OVER THE TOP EDGE OF THE BOX. We can bring another box for additional iron. All items should be placed in the container so that the contents will not shift or fall during transit. We suggest loading small and light weight material on the bottom.

If we travel to pick up your box and it is overloaded - we will not pick up the box until you take off the excess. We will deduct travel time from your payment if we must come back to pick up a box that was overloaded. Load the box like you would a trailer that you would be hauling. There CANNOT be items hanging over the side.
